We collect the following types of personal information:
User-Provided Information: When you sign up or create a profile, you may provide your name, email address, state or region, grade level, curriculum used, and professional interests. Name, email address, and interests will be hidden, if you choose. State or region, grade level, and curriculum used will be information that is available to other users.
Survey Responses: If you choose to respond to surveys from partner companies, your responses and your username may be shared with the survey sponsor, but never your name or personally identifiable information (PII).
Automatically Collected Data: We use Google Analytics to collect non-identifying usage data, such as browser type, pages visited, and time spent on our site.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
We use your information to:
Provide access to the platform and teacher communities;
Facilitate matching between educators and relevant surveys or focus groups;
Improve our services and understand user behavior through analytics;
Communicate with you about platform updates and opportunities;
Ensure platform safety, security, and compliance.
You have full control over your profile visibility:
You may choose what personal details to include and what other users can see;
You may update or delete your profile at any time;
While TeacherVoice administrators can view full profiles and PII for internal use, this information is never sold or shared externally.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Survey sponsors may receive aggregated or anonymized data from user responses, but they will never have access to your identity or PII.
5. AI Analysis and Content Use
TeacherVoice may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to analyze conversations, feedback, and community interactions on the platform. These AI tools may be used to:
Generate summaries, reports, or insights about educator sentiment and discussion themes;

Your personally identifiable information (PII) will never be included in these outputs. However, quotes or paraphrased contributions may be used anonymously or attributed generically (e.g., “a 5th grade teacher in Texas”). All data collected through the platform, including survey responses, forum discussions, and profile content, is the property of TeacherVoice LLC and may be used in accordance with this policy.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your personal information, including SSL encryption and secure server hosting. While no system can be 100% secure, we are committed to protecting your data.
